Centering Students, Centering Context: Learning That Listens

VISION - #EducationInContext are conversations about healing, justice, and collective power for Black and Brown youth. We envisions a world where education centers humanity over hierarchy, civic leadership over compliance, and liberation over control.

MISSION - #EducationInContext, through a variety of platforms, interrogates the influence of Anti-Blackness and Anti-Darkness in U.S. education systems. Through storytelling, scholarship, and critical conversation, we examine how school structures (testing, grading, discipline, language, leadership, etc.) reproduce racialized harm. Community members are encouraged to interrogate, disrupt, and reimagine what’s possible when we shift from compliance to agency and silence to student-led transformation. We aim to equip educators, students, researchers, and families with knowledge and tools to challenge injustice, and co-create liberatory learning spaces.

We’d love to hear from you.
